Schuyler Hospital is looking to hire a Per Diem Speech Therapist/Language Pathologist. The Speech Language Pathologist position is a professional position encompassing assessment of patient's speech, language, and swallowing function, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs. The SLP will be responsible for speech, language and swallowing therapy evaluation and treatment in accordance with physician referral. Other responsibilities include instructing and educating speech students, the community and supervising rehab aides. The SLP will be highly motivated to continue development of clinical skills and remain current with research in the field. The SLP will effectively provide person centered care and services.

Requirements:

Education:

• Successful completion of accredited speech language pathology program including Master's degree, certificate of clinical competence (ASHA)

Experience:

• Preferred, not required

Licensure:

• NYS licensure

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move patients with assistance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
