Schuyler Hospital is looking for a Full Time Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Clinic. This candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care in the outpatient clinic setting by rooming patients, completing medication reconciliation, and obtaining a thorough medical history. Assisting in office procedures, runs point of care testing, and completing prior authorizations and paperwork necessary for meeting the patient's healthcare needs. Assisting providers in the provision of medical care to all patients in the Outpatient Clinic Setting under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician.

Requirements:

Education

• Graduate of accredited NYS Medical Assistants (or) Certified Nurse Assistant program (or) Nursing assistant experience
• At least 1 year of employment experience in a clinical patient care setting. Outpatient experience preferred.

Language Skills

• Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.

Skills

• Basic computer knowledge. Experience in Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Experience gathering patient clinical information including vital signs, medication reconciliation, current problems, and collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
