Schuyler Hospital is seeking a full time RN in our Specialty Clinic. The Registered Nurse - Outpatient clinics assist providers in the provision of medical care to all patients in the outpatient clinic setting. The registered nurse is responsible for rooming patients, assisting the provider during procedures, administering medications including but not limited to vaccinations and therapeutic injections, preparing charts, and completing care coordination functions. The registered nurse triages patients and can independently manage patient concerns, within their scope of practice. The registered nurse will also act as a lead and provide guidance and support to the licensed practical nurses.

Requirements:

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school

Experience:

• Experience working in a clinic setting preferred, but not required; experience working in an electronic medical record preferred

Licensure:

• Current RN licensure in the State of New York
• Current BLS/CPR certification, if not current, will need to obtain within 90 working days

Skills:

• Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing; basic computer knowledge required

Physical requirements:

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers (ex: use of computer keyboard),
• May require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 20 pounds), including boxes, supplies
• Sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time;
• Must be able to physically perform CPR/BLS measures
• Must be able to physically operate the equipment used for the job
