Schuyler Hospital is seeing a part time Nursing Assistant or CNA and a part time Activities Assistant for our Med Surg Department. This position will equal a full time position. This candidate will perform various duties in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established methods and procedures under the direction of a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RNs and LPNs on duty. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, comfort and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients. It is the responsibility of the Activities Aide to work as a team member along with the nursing, dietary, rehabilitation, social work and housekeeping staff members to provide daily activity options as well as assist with other non-clinical tasks as needed or assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of CNA training preferred but not required
• Will successfully complete unit specific orientation skills list.
• Will successfully complete required credentialing.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Skills:

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good physical and mental health, positive attitude, able to work under pressure and relate to residents
